This is a research programme, which is mainly for the Science and Engineering & Technology field. It is after the successful completion of master’s degree and doctoral, that an integrated PhD degree is awarded to a candidate. Alternatively, you can say that an Integrated PhD is the 5 years dual degree course of master’s and PhD. Generally, in the first 2 years candidates need to study the master’s course (M.Sc or M.Tech) post which they focus on the research work and core PhD Course for next 3 years. Candidates who want to appear in this course must have at least a 3 year bachelor’s degree in their core subject. For eg. If a candidate is applying for an Integrated PhD in Chemistry, they should have completed a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. The aspirant should also have Maths at the 10 + 2 level.
